RealtyCrawl vs RealtyAPI. Narrower, and built to be relied on.
Both return Zillow, Redfin, Realtor.com, StreetEasy and Auction.com data as JSON. RealtyAPI lists 33 platforms and costs less from $99 a month. RealtyCrawl has cheaper ways in, one typed schema across sources, a typed MCP tool per route and a live status page.

The short answer. It depends on the job.
RealtyAPI covers more ground: it lists 33 platforms, including international portals, and from $99 a month it costs less per call (85,000 requests for $99 against RealtyCrawl's 50,000). RealtyCrawl is cheaper to start, at $9 for 1,000 and $29 for 5,000 where RealtyAPI has nothing between free and $49. It returns one typed schema for every source, gives assistants a typed MCP tool per route instead of four generic ones, and runs a status page built from real calls. RealtyAPI's own status page says it shows simulated data. At $49 both include 20,000.
Why teams pick RealtyCrawl
- Plans at $9 and $29, where RealtyAPI has nothing between free and $49.
- One typed schema for every source, so one parser handles all five.
- A typed MCP tool for each route, not four generic ones.
- A live status page from real calls. RealtyAPI's says it shows simulated data.
- Fixed credits per route, published in the docs.
When RealtyAPI fits
- You need platforms beyond these five, such as Trulia, Homes.com, LoopNet, Zoopla or Idealista.
- You make more than 50,000 calls a month: their $99 and $399 plans include more.
- You want pay as you go at $5 per 1,000.
- You want a free tier that renews every month.
Breadth. RealtyAPI lists 33 platforms and hundreds of endpoints, each with its own OpenAPI spec.
Volume pricing. From $99 up, RealtyAPI includes more requests per dollar: 85,000 for $99 and 500,000 for $399.

What you get with RealtyCrawl.
The differences that matter when you build on real-estate data.
Cheaper ways in
Lite is $9 for 1,000 credits and Starter $29 for 5,000. RealtyAPI goes from its free tier straight to $49.
One schema, five sources
Every source returns the same core fields, with source-only fields in `extras`. Switching from Zillow to Redfin is a route change, not a new parser.
Typed tools for assistants
One MCP tool per route, each with its own inputs and output schema. RealtyAPI's server has four generic tools the assistant must chain to find and call an endpoint.
A status page you can trust
Ours is built from real calls and canary searches. RealtyAPI's status page says: "Status page shows simulated data. Live monitoring coming soon."
Honest sold prices
In non-disclosure states the sale price is null with a reason, never filled from a list price or an estimate.
Known cost per call
Each route's credits are published and fixed: 1 for a search, 2 for property or comps.

One prompt gives your assistant the endpoint, the sign-in header and how to wait for a result, so its first script works.
I'm building with the RealtyCrawl API. It returns real-estate data from Zillow as typed JSON: homes for sale, sold homes, rentals, property history, estimates and comps. Read the docs first: https://realtycrawl.com/llms.txt OpenAPI spec: https://realtycrawl.com/openapi.json Rules for the code you write: - Base URL: https://api.realtycrawl.com/v1 - Auth: send the header "Authorization: Bearer <key>". Read the key from the REALTYCRAWL_KEY environment variable. Never put it in browser code. - Zillow sold homes: GET /zillow/sold?zip=<5-digit ZIP>&sold_within_days=90. You can send city and state instead of zip. - A call often answers 202 with status "pending" and a poll_url. Poll GET /jobs/<request_id>?wait=20 with the same header until status is "complete" or "failed". - The rows are in result.data, each with address, sale_price, sold_date, sale_price_disclosure and source_url. sale_price is null when the price isn't public; result.field_notes says why. Never replace a null with a guess. - result.summary has median_sale_price and median_price_per_sqft. For the next page, send result.next_cursor as cursor. - A search costs 1 credit; property details and comps cost 2. A free account starts with 100 credits that do not refill, so save results while testing instead of repeating a call. Start with a short script that prints the median sale price for ZIP "80221". Then ask me what I want to build.
Below $49, yes: RealtyCrawl has $9 and $29 plans and RealtyAPI has none. At $49 both include 20,000. From $99 up, and for pay as you go, RealtyAPI includes more per dollar.
Yes, and StreetEasy and Auction.com. RealtyAPI lists 33 platforms in all.
RealtyCrawl has one typed tool per route, like zillow_sold. RealtyAPI has four generic tools (list_apis, search_endpoints, get_endpoint_schema, call_endpoint) that an assistant chains to find and call an endpoint.
On October 15, 2026 the page said: "Status page shows simulated data. Live monitoring coming soon." RealtyCrawl's status page is built from real calls and canary searches.
Pick the source route, like GET /v1/zillow/sold?zip=80221, send your key as Authorization: Bearer, and poll poll_url until the job completes. Rows are in result.data.
