Terms of Service

These are the rules for using RealtyCrawl. By creating an account or using the API, you agree to them. If you use RealtyCrawl for a company, you agree on its behalf. Questions go to support@realtycrawl.com.

#The service

RealtyCrawl is an API that returns public real-estate data: homes for sale, sold homes, rentals, property facts and history, and the estimates that sources publish. We may add, change or remove features and sources.

RealtyCrawl is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Zillow, Redfin, Realtor.com or any other real-estate site or MLS. Their names, logos and estimates (like the Zestimate) belong to them.

#Your account

• You must be at least 18.
• Give us a real, permanent email address and keep it current.
• One free account per person. Accounts that share an email address or network share one free credit.
• Keep your API keys secret. You are responsible for everything done with your keys. Revoke a key if it leaks.

#Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Create multiple accounts, or use any other trick, to get around plan limits or rate limits.
• Share or resell your API keys, or resell raw access to the API, without our written permission.
• Attack, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the service.
• Use the service or its data to break the law, to harass or harm anyone, to discriminate in housing or lending, or to violate anyone's rights.

You are responsible for how you use the data, including following the laws and third-party terms that apply to you.

#Plans, credits and payment

• Each call costs a number of credits, shown on its docs page. Most calls cost 1; property details cost 2.
• The free plan is a one-time credit. Each plan's credits and limits are shown on the pricing page and in your dashboard.
• Failed calls are not charged. Neither is a page past the last one.
• Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe and renew until you cancel. You can cancel any time. When you cancel, you keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for.
• Extra credits are a one-time purchase, with or without a plan. They don't expire.
• If you turn on auto top-up, you authorise us to charge your saved card for the amount you chose each time your credits run low, up to the monthly cap you set. We email you after every charge. You can turn it off at any time on the billing page.
• Payments are non-refundable, except where the law requires a refund or we choose to give one.
• We may change prices. A price change applies from your next billing period, and we will tell you first.

#The data

We collect facts from public pages and return them as we find them: prices, dates, sizes, history and identifiers. We don't return or store listing photos or listing descriptions. Estimates are labeled with the source that made them; we don't make our own.

We work to keep the data accurate, but we can't promise it is complete, current or free of errors. Some states don't make sale prices public, and then a sale price can be missing. Don't rely on the data as your only source for decisions where a mistake would be costly, such as an appraisal, a lending decision or an offer.

The data belongs to its owners. We give you permission to use the API's output in your own products and analysis, within these terms.

#Availability

We aim to keep the API running, and we publish its health on our status page. We don't promise uninterrupted service. Sources can change or limit access at any time, and that can affect results.

#Suspension and ending your account

You can stop using RealtyCrawl and delete your account at any time.

We may limit, suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, abuses the service, or puts the service or other customers at risk. If we close a paid account for a reason other than a breach of these terms, we will refund the unused part of the current period.

#Disclaimer

RealtyCrawl is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

#Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, RealtyCrawl is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or 100 US dollars.

#Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will update the date at the top and tell account holders by email. If you keep using RealtyCrawl after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms.
